Boonie in authentic "Nam-style". The Boonie has been given a vintage wash that gives it an authentic "I've-been-used-a-year-in-the-jungle" look. Boonies were first issued during the Vietnam War when soldiers needed a headgear that could shield them from both the strong sun and the monsoon downpour. This boonie is made from 100% cotton ripstop, which makes it feel light and comfortable on the head. The boonie has ventilation holes in the hood, loops for mounting camouflage and a chin strap.
