US Navy Peacoat – Classic Double-Breasted Wool Coat
The iconic US Navy Peacoat is a classic wool coat inspired by the original design used by the United States Navy. This premium outerwear piece combines timeless style, exceptional warmth, and durable craftsmanship – a refined winter coat that balances tradition and function.
History and design
Also known as a sailor’s coat or bridge coat, the Peacoat has roots in both the American and European navies. Originally developed for sailors facing harsh sea conditions, it has become a symbol of classic outerwear. The double-breasted cut, wide lapels, and distinctive anchor buttons give the coat its authentic naval character.
Premium materials and craftsmanship
The coat is made from a heavy 29 oz wool blend (approximately 820 g/m²), consisting of 75% wool and 25% polyester. The dense weave provides excellent insulation against the cold, while the quilted nylon lining adds comfort and protection from the wind. Its weight, structure, and warmth all reflect true quality – a coat built to last for years.
