This lightweight MA-1 pilot jacket for children was developed at the same time as the fighter jets. The new jackets were lighter and warmer than the old heavy leather jackets. They quickly became popular among the civilian population as winter jackets and have enjoyed popular periods regularly since they were introduced in the 1950s.

How to Find the Right Size
Note: All measurements in the table are garment measurements, not body measurements. To find the right size, we recommend comparing the guide's measurements with a jacket you already own that fits well.
- Chest Measurement: The jacket is measured from armpit to armpit (2x 1/2 chest measurement).
- Back Length: Measure from the top of the collar down to the bottom of the jacket.
- Sleeve Length: Measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve.
