Original German Seesack – classic duffle bag with history

The original German Seesack is a robust and spacious military bag that for decades was standard equipment in the German Navy (Bundesmarine).
The design is based on the classic sailor’s duffle – simple, cylindrical, easy to roll up and hang by the bunk. It resembles the American duffle bag and is often referred to as a sea bag, bunk bag, or navy bag.

A metal buckle and two shoulder stoppers make it easy to handle, even when heavily packed.

Should your Seesack develop a small hole or tear over time, we recommend repairing it. Canvas of this quality can easily be patched, adding even more patina and character to the bag.

Make your Seesack water-repellent

Extend its lifespan with a water-repellent spray or beeswax – a natural and sustainable choice.
How to: Rub the wax evenly into the fabric with a cloth or sponge, gently heat with a hairdryer, and let it cure. The surface becomes water-repellent and can easily be maintained.
Note: Treatment may slightly darken the color and give the canvas a more patinated look.
